A Walk By the River

As you all know, the Pigeon River is one of my favorite spots. During hunting season though, I tend to steer clear of the woods. I could look like a big orange barrel, and no amount of money would tempt me to go for a hike once fire arms season starts. (which is Nov. 15th). So with it only being bow season...and the shooter has to have a clear shot of it's target...no guessing if it is a deer...I felt pretty comfortable going for one of my last hikes until January 1st.
With all the rain and snow we have been having the river is peaking again....just in time to freeze over for winter. I have contemplated for a few years now to canoe the river in October or November. Yet, the frigged air and water temps keep my feet planted on land...I have never flipped my canoe, but I could definently see it happening this time of year...that'd be my luck! Maybe when I have health care again I'll try it....seems to be I thought I was invincible when I had it and never used it...but there is this lil voice inside my head that screams "what about peanut?" lol..what motherhood and growing up do to a person....mt man calls it being responsible...lol, I'll have to look into that a bit more. :)
So with my feet planted on shore...I take pictures and adventure around with peanut. It is an even trade; you never know what you will find when you head outside....Hope everyone is having a great weekend!
