Sky Watch Friday; My #3

Wow, can you believe another Friday has rolled around? and it is MAY? Where has the time gone?
Yesterday afternoon the DNR issued a very critical fire danger. With all the snow gone, lil rain, and dry heat the last week...well things were a lil dusty. But after a lite sprinkle around dinner, the rainbow appeared.
The weather cleared up for awhile, and as darkness approached, thunderstorms moved in. I woke up to everything soaked this morning, and leave everywhere. We are supposed to get more rain tonight...it is much needed.
To see other sky's check out Sky Watch....there are a ton of great links to great photo's! Happy Friday All :D

Nothing like a rainbow to lift our spirits!

And I like how the new buds are reaching up!

I love the views you captured! so glad it rained up there - didn't realize there was a fire danger. it seemed like it was raining so much the previous weeks!

Glad you're getting some rain. The rainbow is always a promising sign!

Sometimes our lodgepole pine forests just need to burn, like Yellowstone '88. Fire renews the land.

SM: You made some neat captures of the sky today. I love the rainbow shot. So the pot of gold was in the U P.

Linda-those are the first lilac buds of the year...

Will-thank you for the comment!

Shellmo-there isn't a week that goes by in the spring that the fire danger is on. Everything is still so dry up here...the radio stations 29.9 and 93.5 usually do a fire report with the weather in the morning. just an fyi1 ;)

Barb-thanks for stopping by..how did your trip go?

Ecorover-off to check out your site...I agree, as devastating as it would be...a good fire could renew the forests.

FG-lol the Yuppers would be so made at you for refering to me as one....I live about 60 miles south of the Bridge (tipp o the mitt), I am a troll. :) But, I'd like to think that pot of gold will be in my yard one day! :)
